Countertop Support Bracket – Front Mounting
These In-Wall Brackets are available in five convenient sizes and come in six various powder coat colors for installations where the product is going to be visible. The In-Wall Front Mounting Support Bracket can be used for solid surface and granite countertop with overhangs up to 24 inches. To correctly determine the size of the bracket that you’ll need, you just have to subtract 2 to 4 inches from the total length of the overhang. For example, a 10-inch overhang would need a support bracket that is 6 to 8 inches long. You can refer to the chart below for further information.
How to Successfully Hide the Front Mounting Plus Countertop Support Bracket
sheet rocklocated in the area of the stud where the bracket will be installed should be carefully removed.
- A wooden stud will be used for these In-Wall Brackets. You have to install wood blocking if you’ll be working on metal studs.
- After successfully mounting the In-Wall Bracket to the stud, you must make sure that the top of the bracket is on the same level as the granite placement. You have to shim the bracket if it looks like your stud wall is not square.
- To successfully cover a bracket, you can use a “Quick Patch” sheet-rock kit after securing the support in place.
- It’s never a good idea to place the bracket directly on the
sheet rock, especially when mounting in an exposed application. The sheet rockis not created to support heavy weights and will instantly crumble if used in heavy weightapplications. Once this unfortunate thing happens, the support capacity will no longer be sufficient and its connection to the stud will no longer be solid.
